J3S has developed applications for guided execution of interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs). The software presents to the operator a procedural document for execution, guides the operator through the structured execution environment, and supports capturing, validating, and storing procedurally related information such as measurement values, parts information and inspection buy points. In addition, there is support for integrating external waiver corrective action, and quality assurance mechanisms. All task execution information is maintained by the system and is available in real time to system supervisors.

J3S is also developing a process execution application which will integrate with the task execution application. Given a process which defines a collection of related tasks (sometimes called a workflow), the software will coordinate task execution among multiple operators so that tasks can be executed in parallel when appropriate.
